Who this review is for

This audit suits an applicant, family member or authorised representative preparing a disability support application where financial eligibility depends on a means test. It is especially useful when income varies, several people contribute to a household, a bank statement contains unexplained transfers, or an earlier application attracted a financial query.

The audit covers the financial and household declaration. It does not assess disability, provide medical evidence, give legal representation or guarantee any authority’s decision.

What we examine

  • the assessment period and income sources declared on the application;
  • wages, grants, maintenance, pension receipts and recurring household contributions;
  • bank statement entries that could be mistaken for income;
  • household composition, dependency and spouse or partner details;
  • declared assets and supporting records supplied for them;
  • consistency across forms, affidavits, statements and explanatory letters;
  • missing evidence, unclear labels and dates that need correction.

What you receive

You receive an issue register ranked as urgent, clarification needed or presentational; a reconciled income schedule; a document index; and a plain-language findings letter. The findings conference lasts up to 60 minutes and allows you to test each recommendation before changing the application.

How the engagement runs

  1. Scope call. A 20-minute call confirms the application stage, deadline and authorised contact.
  2. Secure collection. We provide a document request. Please do not email identity numbers, medical reports or unredacted bank records before receiving those instructions.
  3. Audit. One reviewer traces amounts and statements, then a second person checks material findings.
  4. Conference and report. We explain what is inconsistent, what evidence can resolve it and what is outside our scope.

Most complete files are returned within five to seven business days after all agreed records arrive. Very large transaction histories or records spanning more than six months are quoted separately.

Prepare for the review

Bring the current application form, the relevant means-test instructions, statements for the required period, proof for each declared income source and any previous query or outcome letter. Redact medical detail that has no bearing on financial eligibility.

Fee and limits

Fees start at R2,850 for one applicant, one household and up to six months of records. We confirm a fixed estimate after the scope call. Translation, forensic tracing, tax advice, legal appeals and obtaining records from third parties are excluded.
